The Old Hackney Baths on Eastway

New work-space has been secured in Hackney Wick available to small creative business that may otherwise be forced to leave the area due to redevelopment.
Hackney Council was successful in its Good Growth Fund bid for £450,000 to develop the new sites. More details can be found here: https://www.london.gov.uk/press-releases/mayoral/mayor-awards-24m-to-regenerate-local-communities
Hackney Council has issued 7 year leases on the Old Baths on Eastway and Trowbridge Centre (formerly a day centre for people with learning disabilities) on Trowbridge Road to Stour Space and Arbeit as part of a plan to allow creative business in the area to stay in the Wick. These venues will also be available for community activities and offer potential for some exciting creative partnerships.
Money will be spent on refurbishing the games pitch behind the Old Baths and opening a recording studio for local young people .
